AA to offer new call centre jobs in Preston

Date: 26/07/2011

New revenue share numbers may be required for the AA, as it is creating new call centre jobs in Preston.

The company has acquired new premises at Fulwood Park off Pittman Way and is looking to take on 60 members of staff, the Lancashire Evening Post reports.

It is thought individuals will take up their positions at the new contact centre in August.

Speaking to the publication, a spokesperson for the AA said: "It's because of a new service we launched last October called home emergency response."

Although there will initially be 60 available jobs, this figure could increase depending on the success of the initiative, she explained.

This is not the only new call centre planned for the north-west at present.

Aegis is set to open a new site in the centre of Manchester and global chief executive of the company Aparup Sengupta recently told TheBusinessDesk.com that the enterprise hopes to take on thousands of staff members over the next few years.
