Aegis may need to purchase additional 0800 numbers for its call centre in Manchester.
This is because the enterprise has revealed it wants to invest further in the north-west city, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The Indian outsourcing company announced back in July that it is to create 600 jobs when it opens a contact centre at City Tower in Piccadilly Plaza.
Now, president of global mergers and acquisitions and strategic initiatives Sudhir Agarwal has revealed the enterprise plans to expand in future.
He said the company's current focus "is to fill up the 600 jobs and get them on board", while there will "obviously be room for further growth in the UK".
Aegis wants to open more call centres across Europe, generating up to 2,500 employment opportunities.
Speaking to TheBusinessDesk.com in July, global chief executive of the company Aparup Sengupta revealed the site should be fully operational within two years.
