Auto Windscreens wins call centre award

One company that could be making good use of non-geographic numbers is Auto Windscreens.

The Chesterfield-based firm's call centre has just been ranked second in the Top 50 Call Centres for Customer Service list, the Derbyshire Times reports.

A ceremony was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London to mark the occasion, where Auto Windscreen picked up two other accolades.

It was named best newcomer and best service provider at the event.

Contact centre manager Claire Church said the business is fully focused on customer satisfaction.

"This excellent result is testament to every member of our call centre team who are always ready to go the extra mile for customers," she added.

Run in partnership with GfK Mystery Shopping, the aim of the awards is to create a standard for the level of service call centres should be expected to provide.

Earlier this week, it was revealed RS Components has been shortlisted in the employer of the year category at the European Call Centre and Customer Service Awards 2011.
