Bolton announces opening of new cinema

Date: 23/12/2011

A new local rate number may be needed ahead of the opening of a community cinema in Bolton town centre.

This is Lancashire reports how Bolton Council has announced the move in a bid to revitalise the area.

Family-friendly films will be shown in the Albert Halls on certain Sundays throughout next year, with the first to be screened on January 15th.

Council leader councillor Cliff Morris said: "This is going to be great for Bolton and something which will appeal to all the family."

Puss in Boots is set to be the first movie that will be aired at the hall, with adult tickets costing £4 and children able to enter for £2.

Councillor Morris claimed there is likely to be a demand for the cinema experience, as Bolton is currently lacking in family-orientated activities.

Puss in Boots was released in mainstream cinemas earlier this year and follows the story of the cat from Shrek before he met up with the ogre and his friends.
