BSkyB to occupy new London offices?

Date: 15/06/2011

BSkyB could soon be looking to buy new 0207 numbers as part of a major office contract.

The broadcaster is in "advanced" talks to take on new premises in the FC200 building at the First Central business park in Park Royal, west London, Property Week reports.

It will occupy 162,413 sq ft of space and it will be a ten-year lease, with a break option after five years.

Sky currently occupies offices at Horizon's West in Brentford.

A spokesman for the company said: "Our lease expires at the end of this year and we are considering a range of options."

If the plans go ahead, it will be the biggest office lease to take place in west London since the economic downturn and Sky is expected to pay around £20 per sq ft.

It is not the only major enterprise to be looking at new London premises of late, as Lonely Planet has decided to establish itself in the city so that it can be nearer to its parent company - the BBC.
