Plans to move two GP surgeries to a new site could lead to new 0300 numbers being required, as a hospital and health village merge.
The Ludlow and Tenbury Wells Advertiser reports how the relocation proposal for Ludlow's medical centres has been criticised by some local residents.
One such individuals is Joyce Brand, who is campaigning to keep at least one GP surgery in the town centre, rather than move both to the Eco Park location.
"There are many people who are just not able to make their own way to the Eco Park and certainly no one living near me would be able to walk there," she claimed.
It was suggested having to travel out of town by bus is less than ideal for sick patients and instead a "satellite surgery" should be based in the centre.
The two medical centres set to be relocated are the Portcullis Surgery and Station Driver practice, which are both currently situated less than a mile from the town.
