Central London 'heart of business activity'

Plenty of enterprises could be looking to purchase local 020 numbers and establish their offices in the centre of London.

This is because, according to chief executive of the British Council for Offices Richard Kauntze, activity among businesses is "pretty much confined to within the Circle Line".

He stated that when it comes to the development of commercial space, very few contractors are moving beyond this location.

Mr Kauntze also noted there are a number of projects taking place in the West End and Midtown, while the Heron Tower is finished and the Shard is "progressing very well".

The expert believes "you will see the character and the range of office offers within those areas continue to develop as the market picks up".

He said many companies have "big and complicated requirements", meaning London is the best place for them to situate themselves.

However, smaller firms may wish to look further north, as office space provider Magnus recently claimed Manchester is the ideal location for less-sizeable organisations.
