Droitwich Community Contact Centre moves to new site

Date: 19/08/2011

One organisation that may require some new geographical phone numbers is Droitwich Community Contact Centre.

Run by Wychavon District Council, the operation has just moved to a new location in the town's library in Victoria Square, Worcester News reports.

It has replaced the previous outlet on the high street, although all services will remain the same.

These include housing benefit issues, general enquiries and council tax payments.

Furthermore, local residents can make appointments with various groups - such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and Jobcentre Plus - via the contact centre.

Customer services manager Kath Smith said: "We're in a much handier and more informal location right in the town centre which means residents can pick up a book, have a coffee and see the council all in one visit."

Changes are also taking place at a call centre in Derry at present, as Mortgage administration enterprise HML is to take on five members of staff at its site in the city, the Derry Journal reported.
