Local phone numbers may be needed by entrepreneurs inspired to set up their own business after hearing one expert's comments on the "freedom" that comes with being self-employed.
In a Cambridge Judge Business School podcast, Lord Dennis Stevenson described how there is a certain satisfaction to be gained from running a company and not working for someone else.
"If you have actually created a business and you have created an income stream and a cost stream, then you have made the money and it is yours," he stated.
Lord Stevenson claimed two of the biggest "pluses" of establishing an organisation are being able to control exactly what happens and the way customers and suppliers are treated.
Individuals were advised they may have more responsibility, but the freedom and flexibility of being your own boss make this worthwhile.
It was suggested by Lord Stevenson that people who are being made redundant should consider establishing their own companies if they are struggling to find employment.
