Employees at a call centre in Lancashire, which may use local numbers, are being relocated.
Currently, workers at the county council's contact centre operate from a site on Guildhall Street in Preston, This is Lancashire reports.
However, they are now moving to Lancashire House at the Globe Centre, where they will join 120 of their colleagues in a bid to cut costs.
This could mean the organisation needs to utilise call management solutions to ensure a smooth transition to the new premises.
County council leader Councillor Geoff Driver said the organisation wants to cut costs by £180 million over the next three years.
"The aim is to bring employees together in fewer office buildings, to work more efficiently and make significant savings," he added.
Elsewhere, the Herald Express reported that an unmanned firm has responded to a Torbay Development Agency marketing campaign and shown an interest in setting up a new call centre in the area.
