London offices receive awards from BCO

Date: 03/06/2011

Enterprises looking to buy 020 numbers and relocate to London may find they have plenty of excellent office space from which to choose.

The British Council for Offices (BCO) has just announced the results of its annual London and South East Awards and the outcome could give firms an idea of locations to target.

While Central St Giles, on St Giles High Street, was named as the best commercial workplace, the Angel Building on St John Street took home the refurbished/recycled workplace category.

It looks to be a popular location, as it was recently announced that Jamie's Italian is to occupy 7,900 sq ft of space at the site.

The project up to 2,000 sq m award went to North House on Great Peter Street, while KPMG Project Gold in Canada Square won best corporate workplace.

Richard Kauntze, chief executive of the BCO, said: "We're thrilled that developers continue to produce first class workspaces and it's clear to see that the future is bright for London offices."
