London Overground development to boost access for offices

Companies looking to purchase 020 numbers and move into London office space may want to consider the outer reaches of the capital, after Transport for London announced plans to upgrade the overground network.

The investment will see more services running from Richmond and Clapham Junction to Stratford, a move that will increase accessibility for companies that choose to base themselves in these areas.

This is the first time the line has received a major upgrade since 1969 and new carriages will be introduced along the revised timetable, while a station refurbishment programme is also set to take place.

Work is being carried out to prepare for the London 2012 Olympic Games, but mayor Boris Johnson said the improvements "will be of benefit to Londoners for many years beyond the Olympics".

Choosing 020 numbers would enable businesses located on the outskirts of the capital to promote themselves as being based in the heart of the city, while also being cost effective

Land Securities recently revealed plans to construct more commercial space in London, noting demand for offices is exceeding supply in some areas.
