LV= call centres pick up industry award

Date: 25/07/2011

One company that could be making good use of non-geographic numbers is LV=.

The insurer has just won the accolade for best large contact centre at the UK Customer Experience Awards.

There were five separate categories that the entrants were judged on before the winner was announced.

As well as their customer strategies, contact centres were also marked on the engagement of staff, corporate social responsibility, business results and originality and innovation.

LV= received its prize for its general insurance centres based in Bristol, Croydon and Bournemouth.

Sales and customer service director for the firm's general insurance enterprise Peter Sinden said the staff members work "extremely hard to ensure that we offer a first class service to all our customers and I am delighted that their efforts have been acknowledged by the industry with this award".

This is not the first time the enterprise has picked up the accolade, as it beat businesses such as American Express, Swiftcover and Barclaycard to the prize in 2009.
