Customer Services

One company that may have plenty of experience in using non-geographic numbers is whg.
The Midlands housing provider has just been named as having one of the top 50 contact centres for customer service in the UK, 24dash.com reports.
Its call centre was established in 2008 and employees were unaware that 200 mystery shopping calls were made to the firm over a two-month period.
Furthermore, consumers may have no concerns about contacting whg, as it was the first organisation of its kind to introduce a 0300 number.
This means people will pay no more than local rates to get in touch, no matter whereabouts or from what device they are calling.
Helen Roberts, customer services manager at whg, said: "We were keen to see how we fared against private sector call centres, many of whom will be large scale, national operations."
One of the benefits of 0300 numbers is that they can only be used by certain public groups and charities, meaning they could help organisations to set themselves apart from other businesses.
