More 020 numbers needed as London office take-up improves?

Date: 04/05/2011

A growing number of enterprises could be looking to purchase new 020 numbers as they move to offices in London.

This is because, according to the annual Global Real Estate Markets report from Knight Frank, uptake of premises in the capital improved "strongly" last year.

According to the document, the financial sector is driving demand and the city saw the most significant growth in prime rents of anywhere in Europe.

Take-up increased by 57 per cent on 2009 to reach 14.8 million sq ft, which could mean a large number of enterprises are looking for 0207 numbers as they expand their business in their new location.

The West End proved to be a particular hotspot and it is thought that growth will continue as 2011 progresses.

Knight Frank stated: "The central London office market has led the recovery in demand and rental values."

If companies are looking to expand to other parts of the UK, such as Manchester, they can still purchase London telephone numbers.
