More office space planned for London

Date: 24/05/2011

UK businesses may require 020 numbers if they decide to move to new office space that is being constructed in London.

Land Securities has revealed it intends to build more premises in some of the capital's prime locations.

This is due to demand outstripping supply, a problem the company suggested is becoming increasingly obvious.

Chief executive of Land Securities Francis Salway stated that it considers London offices to offer the greatest potential for rental growth.

As a result, the firm believes that "the best way to capture this is by undertaking speculative development projects in the best locations in London".

This announcement could be ideal for enterprises looking to boost their presence in the city by purchasing 020 numbers and relocating to a prime spot.

Earlier this month, the UK Commercial Market Survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors showed uptake of office space in London is increasing, with 43 per cent more surveyors reporting growth in requirements rather than declines.
