There could be an increasing requirement for 0203 numbers in the UK, as the establishment of enterprises is on the up.
According to new figures from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, there were around 4.5 million private sector firms in the UK at the beginning of 2010.
This was an increase of 48,000 companies compared with the start of 2009.
The enterprises generated a combined annual turnover of £3,200 billion and employed an estimated 22.5 million workers.
Business and enterprise minister Mark Prisk said: "Private sector enterprises will create growth in our economy so it is encouraging to see that the number of businesses at the start of 2010 had increased."
For those establishing themselves in the capital, 0203 numbers could be the perfect way of getting business off the ground by providing a local presence.
This comes after director-general of the British Chambers of Commerce David Frost claimed banks need to provide greater support to local firms by offering more loans.
