New 03 numbers 'perfect for charities'

Date: 28/07/2011

Enterprises attempting to generate as much interest as possible will no doubt be looking for a method of attracting members of the public.

Memorable phone prefixes could be an easy way in which to do this and if an organisation operates within the public or charity sectors, they can take advantage of 03 numbers.

These digits were introduced by Ofcom across the UK as an alternative to 08 numbers that individuals are charged to contact, such as 0870 numbers.

They cost the same as getting in touch with a 01 or 02 number, whether it be from a fixed landline, pay phone or mobile.

Furthermore, 03 prefixes are usually well-trusted by members of the public, which could mean they have no hesitations when it comes to contacting an enterprise.

Because they are available up and down the country, they promote a national image for any not-for-profit companies, which could further enhance their appeal.
