New businesses 'need more govt support'

New businesses looking to purchase 0800 telephone numbers as they get their company off the ground may agree with one expert's comments regarding government support.

Phil McCabe, spokesman for the Forum of Private Business, claimed the authorities must do more to help companies struggling to access finance.

He stated that there need to be "substantial measures" introduced to support these firms, particularly those operating in more traditional sectors.

"It is those businesses that are really going to or [are] expected to deliver jobs creation and economic growth," Mr McCabe continued.

Although he welcomed the introduction of the Business Growth Fund, the expert claimed the "vast majority" of enterprises will not be able to take advantage of it.

If new businesses are struggling financially, they could generate some extra revenue by purchasing 0844 numbers.

These revenue share prefixes mean they will be able to make money every time a client or customer gets in touch.
