New call centre brings 100 jobs to Bridgend

A new revenue share number may have been needed ahead of the opening of a call centre in Bridgend.

The Western Mail reports how Green Home Company has launched an operations hub that will serve the Welsh and south-west England markets.

According to the news source, 50 staff members have already been recruited with a further 30 expected to be hired in the next few weeks, before the total is taken to 100.

The company is the largest solar panel installer in the UK and is hoping to increase the number of homes in the country fitted with the energy saving measure.

Alan Pronto, founder and executive chairman of the firm, stated: "The country has an increasing level of fuel poverty and solar panels will allow our customers to see a real reduction in their fuel bills."

The Green Home Company is part of GML Construction, which has a 20-year history and has won awards for its environmental and sustainable projects.
