Customer Services
Date: 14/07/2011
New 0800 numbers may be required in Bognor Regis, as a new contact centre has just been opened in the area.
The Listening Company has been awarded a contract to provide call centre services to West Sussex County Council.
Staff members will be the first point of contact for many local residents and the arrangement will see the organisation manage enquiries regarding a number of different sectors.
As well as social care and highways, this includes issues such as library renewals.
Chief executive officer at The Listening Company Neville Upton said: "We are committed to delivering excellent customer service which will bring benefits for the council and local communities across the county."
He added that the enterprise has a "strong track record" in this area.
This news comes just after financial firm Santander announced it is to re-establish its call centres in the UK after closing its Indian operations as a result of customer complaints.
