Some 0300 numbers may be required for a new GP practice that could be built in Monmouth.
Proposals have been put forward to relocate Dixton Surgery and provide a new local base for the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust and Gwent Police, Free Press reports.
The practice has outgrown its current site and is also expecting patient numbers to grow further due to housing developments nearby.
Furthermore, the current ambulance trust station on Rockfield Road does not meet current standards.
Although plans have not yet been confirmed, the newspaper claimed the new location "could become a hub for emergency services for the Monmouth area".
The scheme has been agreed by the Aneurin Bevan Health Board and now requires approval from the Welsh government.
Monmouth is not the only place that could receive new health facilities, as the Campaign recently reported that a surgery is currently being built in Gelligaer, Caerphilly.
