New 0800 phone numbers may have been invested in ahead of the opening of a call centre that was attended by deputy prime minister Nick Clegg.
Mr Clegg unveiled outsourcing company Ant's fourth contact hub in Sheffield, which is expected to create 200 jobs in the next 12 months.
The £2 million facility will deliver outbound sales and customer service for firms such as British Gas.
"Ant is going from strength to strength and these 200 jobs are a big boost for Sheffield," Mr Clegg stated, adding: "I am always glad to see Sheffield companies grow."
Chief executive and founder of Ant Anthony Hinchliffe explained the firm acquired the new call centre after noting the increasing demand for outsourcing companies.
Daily Express writer Peter Hill may be in support of Ant's decision to base its contact hub in the UK, as he recently claimed choosing to use overseas telephonists can damage a business' reputation.
