Plusnet has officially launched its new 0800 number.
The prefix came into operation on Tuesday (August 2nd) and means individuals can now get in touch with the internet service provider for free when calling from a landline.
Writing on the firm's official blog, Bob Pullen stated that people can now "pick up the phone, dial 0800 432 0200 and get straight through to a friendly member of our [team] … and it won't cost you a penny".
Furthermore, the company has also revealed plans to introduce a new 03 number.
Previously, consumers had to call 0845 numbers to get in touch with Plusnet's customer support and services team.
The introduction of the 03 number will mean that even those getting in contact with a mobile device do not have to pay any extra charge, as the call will be deducted from the minutes included in their mobile contract.
Plusnet launched its new telephone service with an advert aired on Monday to coincide with Yorkshire Day.
