Positive growth for business and professional services firms

Certain enterprises operating in the UK service sector could find now is the time to consider purchasing new 0800 numbers and expanding into bigger offices.

This is because, according to figures from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), there were some positive results for the market between April 27th and May 18th 2011.

In the business and professional services sector, the value of enterprise increased by 12 per cent, with many companies predicting stronger growth over the next few months.

A significant number of organisations also increased the number of staff they employ, which could mean they need extra 0800 numbers to keep up with any additional customers they gain as a result.

Chief economic adviser at the CBI Ian McCafferty said: "Business and professional services firms are feeling more optimistic about their business situation."

This news comes after data released by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills revealed an increase in the number of British companies.

There were around 4.5 million private sector firms at the beginning of 2010 - 48,000 more than at the start of the previous year.
