Scottish call centre creates 100 new jobs

Date: 19/07/2011

New non-geographic numbers may be required in Scotland as a call centre is set to take on additional staff.

A further 100 people will be employed by HEROtsc at its Rowallan Park site in Kilmarnock.

To fill these vacancies, a recruitment day will be held this Friday (July 22nd) in association with the East Ayrshire Council's Skills Development Service.

Once the positions have been filled, the call centre will be close to its full capacity of 500 workers.

HEROtsc's Derek Anderson said that since the firm opened its Rowallan Park site, "the high level of skills and professionalism demonstrated by our staff has enabled us to grow our business and, at the same time, bring new jobs to the site".

This is not the only enterprise to be creating new opportunities at present, as Indian outsourcing company Aegis is also taking on new recruits in Manchester.

The company is set to open its first European contact centre in the heart of the city.
