A call centre in Scotland that may use non-geographic numbers has received an award.
Bellcom, which employs 400 people, received the Happiest Healthiest accolade at the Glasgow Business Awards, the Glaswegian reports.
Judges at the event, which took place last week, recognised that the enterprise is committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of its workforce.
This came after a study conducted by Steelcase Solutions found 49.8 per cent of Scottish employees are happy with their working environment.
Nick Lyons from Steelcase Solutions said: "We congratulate Bellcom on their award."
The company operates in the business to business international call centre services sector.
Writing for Call Centre Helper last month, Real Results Training expert Carolyn Blunt claimed it is vital that employees are motivated and engaged so they provide customers with the best possible service.
She added that "emotion is a very powerful factor" in ensuring agents are doing their job properly and responding to the individual requirements of callers.
