Smaller UK enterprises could be taking on additional staff members and purchasing new 0800 numbers as they expand.
This is because, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, it is these types of businesses that could be creating jobs.
Within the private sector, it was discovered some of the country's largest organisations revised their hiring intentions down over the previous three months, with expectations now remaining flat.
However, the outlook was more positive for less-sizeable companies as they had a job creation outlook of eight per cent.
Mark Cahill, UK managing director of Manpower, said small enterprises were among the first to make redundancies during the recession, "but we're now seeing them build their workforce again and becoming an increasingly important source of job creation in the UK".
One company that could be adding to its workforce is Thomas Cook, as it recently announced it is extending the opening hours of its call centres in Peterborough and Falkirk, meaning they will soon be operating on Sundays.
