Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may wish to purchase revenue share numbers in a bid to boost their earnings.
This is because, according to research from Travelex, money is one of the biggest concerns currently facing companies in the UK.
A survey found 64 per cent of SMEs are worried about their reduced budgets.
While 84 per cent are concerned about the overall state of the British economy, 70 per cent are fretting about overseas competition.
Other issues businesses have to contend with include reduced sales, loss of customers and the availability of credit, the study found.
Paddy Earnshaw, customer director of Travelex Global Business Payments, said: "The results of this survey are not reassuring. Survival is paramount in the current climate, British businesses are worried about the basics of simply staying afloat."
One way in which SMEs could give themselves a financial boost is to purchase revenue share numbers, as these enable them to make money every time a consumer or client gets in touch.
