Spire Homes moves to 0300 number 'to benefit residents'

Spire Homes has announced the introduction of its new low-rate 0300 number, which aims to make calls cheaper for customers.

The organisation has been able to switch to the new prefix following its successful application for charitable status earlier this year.

Residents will now be able to call Spire Homes on the new number, which will cost individuals no more than the local rate and is even free on certain tariffs.

Head of customer services at the charity Sam Horne said: "We implemented the new number following feedback from residents and have already received more calls."

Research revealed the majority of tenants used mobile telephones as their main method of making calls.

Mr Horne explained how the organisation is hoping the new number will make it easier and cheaper for individuals to get in touch.

Other charities may be inspired to get 0300 numbers as they not only have a national presence, but are also memorable.
