Switching to local rate numbers may help GP surgeries achieve as high a satisfaction score as practice in Suffolk.
The Haverhill Echo reports how a survey conducted by the Department of Health has revealed 91 per cent of patients in the region were pleased with the level of service provided by their medical centres.
Individuals were asked to comment on the ease of making appointments, quality of care from GPs and nurses, as well as their satisfaction with opening hours.
"These results are a testament to the hard work of all our Suffolk GP practice teams who should be proud of achieving such an impressive level of patient feedback," Dr Christopher Browning of NHS Suffolk remarked.
The area's high score is above the 88 per cent national average, while 85 per cent of respondents said they would recommend their doctor's surgery, which was also higher than the 82 per cent recorded across the UK.
It was recently reported by the Bath Chronicle that several local health institutions were praised for their service in the GP Practice of the Year Awards.
