A French hotel firm may put 0844 phone numbers to use at a new UK call centre it has opened to assist with sales and customer service.
Madame Vacances has established the offering in Brighton and Hove as it looks to cater for region-specific demand, Travel Daily reports.
UK director of the company Callum Chiverton was quoted by the news source as saying the facility will provide a crucial alternative point of contact for customers.
"Most of our sales are online but it's important to have knowledgeable people on hand for those who have questions or are more comfortable booking on the phone," he remarked.
Mr Chiverton added that another aim of the contact centre is to offer a "more dynamic" service in terms of pricing and handling client queries.
Online retailer Amazon has recently launched a customer service centre in the UK.
It chose Waverley Gate in Edinburgh as the site for the facility, which will handle queries from those who have purchased items from the firm's webstore.
